PTSD/Trauma and the military have shaped her life. She was married to an active duty member (Iraq/Afghanistan Veteran) for nearly 20 years. She volunteered at Fort Riley's Warrior Transition Battalion for three years, offering yoga, meditation, and other holistic treatments to soldiers, family members, and employees. After observing others struggle and experiencing trauma/PTSD. She created Trauma Healing Yoga Therapy. As the inventor of the Trauma Healing Yoga Therapy Program, Anissa guides individuals in using effective, science-based yoga therapy and other holistic practices for the management/healing of PTSD and trauma symptoms.
